In celebration of National Boys & Girls Club Week, the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley kicked off BGC week with special guest speakers including Mayor Bob Huber, Mayor Pro Tem Glen Becerra, and Fire Battalion Chief Michael Sandwick, who encouraged members to create great futures for themselves by developing character, leadership, education, health and life skills and pursue their interests in their career choices.
Throughout the week, the Club invited different guests including the Simi Valley Police Department K9 Unit, Ventura County Fire Department, Simi Valley Hospital, Platinum Sports Center, Waste Management and Actors’ Repertory Theatre.

To wrap up the week of excitement, the Club held its annual Open House on Saturday, April 12th and invited club families and the community to come out to celebrate with the Club. The Open House included arts & crafts, bounce house, face painting, games, prizes, vendors, food and live entertainment performed by Club members.  A Special Boys and Girls Club of Simi Valley Bunny even made a surprise appearance!

The Boys & Girls Club strives to instill self-confidence in its young members by providing them with a positive environment, adults who invest in their futures, and a sense of belonging by their peers.
