Charter College Celebrates Women of Character, Courage, and Commitment

“Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world,” said Hillary Rodham Clinton.

OXNARD, CA — Charter College hosted a successful spring celebration at 2000 Outlet Center Drive, in Oxnard on March 13, honoring Dr. Ingrid Dineen-Wimberly, Dr. Cecelia Burrill, and the Honorable Congresswoman Julia Brownley.

Dr. Ingrid Dineen-Wimberly, historian and adjunct professor of U.S. History and Cultures and Political Science at the University of La Verne, Pt. Mugu Campus, earned both her master’s and doctorate degrees in history from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has worked in higher education leadership for the past 21 years.

One attendee said it was easy to see why Dr. Wimberly,  Dr. Cecelia Burrill, the Honorable Congresswoman Julia Brownley were selected. “They are all women of great character, courage and commitment,” said the attendee.
