Andrew Bynum’s return to Philadelphia was predictable. The Cavs center didn’t play much, but when he checked in for the first time late in the first quarter, loud boos rained down on him from the 76ers fans.

The seven-footer didn’t think much of the reaction though. After the Cavs’ 94-79 loss — in which Bynum had four points and five rebounds in 18 minutes — he said the heckles weren’t that bad.

“I thought it was a little weak,” Bynum said, via Jason Wolf of USA TODAY Sports. “Honestly, I thought it was going to be much worse.”

The Los Angeles Lakers traded Bynum to the 76ers in a four-team deal before the 2012-13 season. But he didn’t play in a single game last season due to his injured knees and was paid $16,889,000 by the Sixers, per He suffered what he called a “setback” with his left knee last November while bowling, and the 76ers fans remembered that.
