Engineer Receives Quarter Century Recognition Award

Mohammed A. Hasan

Palm Springs, CA– Mohammed A. Hasan, a local consulting engineer, has received “Quarter Century Recognition” award. The award was presented at  the opening session of California Water Environment Association’s annual convention 2013 held at the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel.

This honor is given to an elite group of members of CWEA who have provided dedicated service and leadership in the profession. Hasan is among several individuals in the state of California who have received the honor.  Hasan is a Fellow of American Public Works Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers. The Rotary International named him a Paul Harris Fellow. Harris is the founder of Rotary. Hasan is an esteemed life member of the American Waterworks Association.
Founded in 1927, CWEA represents more than 9,000 members. It is the organization representing wastewater industry professionals. Its members are committed to keeping California water clean. Hasan is the principal engineer and owner of the Ventura firm of Hasan Consultants, which provides services in civil and environmental engineering and surveying.  He received his undergraduate degree in Karachi and two master’s degrees from the University of Iowa at Iowa City, Iowa.  He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Registered Environmental Assessor in California. His company provides services to both private and public sectors in design, specifications, reports, expert witness, permitting, monitoring, client consultation for water, wastewater, drainage, roads, transportation, remediation and land development. On May 6th, Hasan is making a presentation on “Directional Drilling in a Megaslide” at a joint meeting of the Association of Engineering Geologists and the South Coast Geological Society in Santa Ana, CA.
