Graduation ceremony held for Bishop Princeton L. Allen and First Lady Tammie Allen Oxnard, CA
On Sunday, May 19, Ephraim and Manasseh Worship Center held a graduation ceremony for Bishop Princeton L. Allen and First Lady Tammie S. Allen. The church is located at 2380 Eastman Avenue, Suite 101, in Oxnard. Bishop Allen was presented with doctorate degrees in theology and divinity; Mrs. Allen received an honorary doctorate in theology.
Bishop Princeton Allen was born in Oxnard California on February 17, 1969. He received Jesus Christ as his personal savior in 1987 at Saint Paul Baptist Church. During his membership at Saint Paul Baptist Church he served as youth leader, junior deacon and eventually on the ministry staff. He preached his first sermon in 1989 and served as an associate minister from 1989 to 1993. He received his ordination in 1993 under the leadership of Bishop Broderick Huggins.
Bishop Allen enrolled in Golden Grain Bible College and Seminary in Ventura and received his bachelor’s degree in theology. In 1997, he and his family relocated to San Diego where he founded Church of the Covenant in 1999. In addition to his family and pastoral duties, he has served as the administrative officer of Iimani Kuumba College (African Arts and History) and also served as an instructor at Messiah Bible College teaching Hebrew and Greek Curriculum. His greatest inspirations are Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Adam Clayton Powell, and Thurgood Marshall.
The ceremony ended with refreshments being served.
