Kobe ‘Not Cool’ with Lakers’ Trade
If the Lakers were going to make a run to the playoffs once Kobe Bryant returns from injury, Steve Blake would have played a key role. A quality outside shooter who competes defensively, Blake added to that roster.
Of course, the Lakers were never going to make the playoffs this season.
That’s why they traded Blake to the Warriors for salary relief and younger players.
But Kobe Bryant didn’t seem thrilled with the Lakers’ decision to trade point guard Steve Blake.
The injured five-time NBA champion took to Twitter shortly after the deadline passed to say he was “not cool” with the trade and called Blake, a teammate of his since the 2010-11 season, one of his “closest teammates.”
