Moorpark High on lockdown after threat made

Moorpark High School was placed on lockdown Thursday after a threat was made, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities received a 911 call at 8:20 a.m. regarding a threatening note left by a student. Students were locked down in their classrooms, as deputies searched the campus.

As certain areas of the school were cleared, and students in those areas were placed outside, officials said.

No injuries have been reported.
