True Blues Colors Santa Barbara

The “True Blues” concert featured some of the greatest blues performers of traditional blues.  Corey Harris led the introduction of the featured musicians of the evening.  Guy Davis, (son of actors Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis) led the concert. Needless to say that his style and mastery of blues guitars, harmonica, singing and dancing was incredible. Alvin Youngblood Hart, a Grammy winner

known for his musical genius in “The Great Debaters” tantalized the audience with indescribable talent on a variety of guitars. Corey Harris, whose album the other artist appear on, with the likes of Taj Mahal and Shemekia Copeland then took the stage. His blues talent, that has literally taken him all over the world, was unselfishly shared with the audience. To top it all off, the three took to the stage together, and performed hits like “Little Red Rooster and “I’m Your  Hoochie Coochie Man”, leaving the audience happy, with a strange craving for some catfish, greens and gumbo.
