VCCF’s Women’s Legacy Fund Accepting Proposals

The Ventura County Community Foundation is accepting proposals to fund local organizations that promote domestic-violence prevention and provide help to victims of abuse.

The Women’s Legacy Fund has $100,000 for projects that focus on domestic-violence education and prevention, housing, food and shelter services for victims of domestic violence, programs that help women gain economic and emotional independence from their abusers, legal assistance for victims as well as programs that focus on special populations, such as elder abuse.

The application deadline is 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 16.

Proposals must be received in the VCCF offices by the deadline.  Those that are postmarked the day of, faxed or arrive late will not be accepted.

Submit completed proposals to Ventura County Community Foundation, Attn: LaToya Ford, VCCF Nonprofit Center, 4001 Mission Oaks Blvd., Suite A, Camarillo, CA 93012.

A staff member from organizations that plan to apply may attend an information session from 10 to 11:30 a.m. July 8 at the VCCF Nonprofit Center, 4001 Mission Oaks Blvd.  in Camarillo.
