Oxnard Gets $500K for DUI Enforcement

targeted DUI Oxnard Gets $500K for DUI EnforcementThe Oxnard Police Department has received more than half a million dollars from the state to continue with programs aimed at trying to prevent deaths and injuries caused by driving under the influence. The $518,807 will be used to continue the Avoid the 14 campaigns in Ventura County through September 30th of next year. Those include using a coalition of law enforcement agencies in the county to conduct sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols, and other special enforcement programs aimed at preventing DUI. They will also target serial DUI offenders with warrant and probation sweeps and courthouse sting programs.
