VENTURA, CA (November 22, 2016) –Myers, Widders, Gibson, Jones & Feingold, LLP is pleased to announce partner Erik B. Feingold has been appointed as the 2017 President of the VCBA Ventura County Bar Association (“VCBA”), a non-profit organization that provides legal services for low income individuals and families in Ventura County.

The Ventura County Bar Association (VCBA) was established in 1929 and currently has 1227 members.  The VCBA has 37 sections, committees, and affiliates. On November 19, the VCBA hosted its 2016 Annual Installation and Awards Dinner at which time Mr. Feingold was appointed president, along with the incoming 2017 board of the VCBA.

Mr. Feingold is a litigator with over twenty-three years of experience at the trial and appellate levels representing parties in all aspects of litigation involving catastrophic personal injuries, business litigation, and real estate disputes. Mr. Feingold shared a nomination as the Consumer Attorneys of California 2011 trial lawyer of the year and the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association 2011 trial lawyer of the year for his role in obtaining the then largest personal injury verdict in Ventura County history of $39M in January, 2011 on behalf of a catastrophically injured CHP officer.

In addition to his VCBA activity, Mr. Feingold is also actively involved with other VCBA and community organizations.  He currently chairs the Business Litigation section, and is a member of the Judicial Evaluations Committee.  In addition, he is the current Secretary of the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association, a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and has been a member of the Downtown Ventura Rotary Club for over fifteen years, having served two board terms.
Mr. Feingold earned his law degree in 1993 from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he was a member of Law Review and a judicial extern for the California Court of Appeal.  Mr. Feingold is also a past professor of civil procedure at the Southern California Institute of Law.
