Saint Paul Baptist Church Hosts Mental Health Forum

On June 16, Saint Paul Baptist Church hosted a community outreach event presented by the Ventura County Mental Health Board and a variety of shareholders located in the tri-county area. The event was preceded with a special sermon by Bishop Huggins on Sunday June 15th, spotlighting the critical needs that are being addressed by the Ventura County Mental Health Board, community agencies and the church. The Ventura County Mental Health Board and numerous participating members discussed the importance of mental health care in the county and current trends and concerns.

Cleo Anderson, Director of Social Services for Saint Paul Baptist Church, received a special award during the occasion, for her outstanding work and dedication. At the conclusion of the program, members of the community and shareholders were given a substantial question and answer period to discuss concerns.

The event was well attended and reflected a healthy diversity of community and culture.
