Second Stabbing in as Many Days in Port Hueneme

Port Hueneme police are investigating the second stabbing incident in as many days in that city. The latest was reported around 9:30 PM Wednesday night. Police responded to the 2500 block of Tiller Avenue. There they found an Oxnard man who said he had been walking in the 600 block of Halyard Street when someone stabbed him in the back. Police say the man was uncooperative with them. He was treated at the scene for the stab wound which was not life threatening. On Tuesday afternoon a Port Hueneme man was stabbed in the area of Bard and 5th Street in Port Hueneme as a 4-year-old child watched. The suspects in that incident came from a vehicle which sped off after the stabbing. The victim in that stabbing is also recovering from his wounds. Police called that incident gang related.
