Tia Mowry Gets Wrapped Up in Lettuce for PETA Vegan Ad
Who knew lettuce could make for adorable fashion? Tia Mowry gets wrapped up in nothing but a lettuce apron designed by costume designer Mia Gyzander and red heels for her new PETA campaign, “Let Veganism Grow On You.” She unveiled her new ad at the Bob Barker Building in L.A. alongside her two special guys, husband Cory Hardrict and son Cree Hardrict. Veganism isn’t one of the most popular lifestyles to adopt, but Tia says she feels great after “greening” up her lifestyle, and encourages others to do the same.
She thinks meat is “disgusting” and hopes that more people will give veganism a chance: “There’s a stigma about being vegan. Some people say it doesn’t taste great. Don’t knock it until you try it!”
We spoke to the new mommy mogul earlier this year, and she shared her fitness tips, which includes a healthy diet and her consistent yoga practice. And although yoga may be easier to swallow than a full on vegan lifestyle, Tia stands by it wholeheartedly, despite Internet hate. In an interview with PETA, she explains:
“I became a vegan and I was getting bullied on Twitter about it. [I] wanted to become a voice for my community. … I wanted to educate my culture about the benefits of becoming vegan.”
