WiFi Access at All Oxnard Public Libraries
Culminating a year-long process to upgrade the Library’s technology infrastructure necessary to support WiFi, the Library is the City of Oxnard’s first facility to provide this widely popular service for patrons using their own wireless-capable devices during open hours.
The Main Library, located at 251 South “A” Street, is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm and Sunday from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Colonia Branch Library, located at 1500 Camino del Sol #26, is open Monday through Thursday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. South Oxnard Branch Library, located at 4300 Saviers Road, is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm andSaturday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Funding to make WiFi possible came from the Schools and Libraries Program of the Universal Service Fund, known as E-Rate, and the Measure “O” Vital City Services Sales Tax approved by 65 percent of the voters on November 8, 2008. The Oxnard Public Library complies with the Children’s Internet Protection Act and filters its Internet network.
