Winners of the 2017 Ventura County St. Patrick’s Day Parade

st-patrickVentura, CA — The winners of the 2017 Ventura County St. Patrick’s Day Parade have been announced.  
Judges for the parade were Connie Stahl, Elk’s Lodge #1430; Richard Rush, California State University Channel Islands; Erika Beck, California State University Channel Islands; Sue Georgino, Georgino Development; James Lockwood, Ventura County Fairgrounds.

The parade theme was “The Sporting Life – The Games we Play.” The Grand Marshal was champion surfer Mary Osborne.

Of this year’s 76 parade entries, the winners are:
High School Band: Oxnard High School Marching Band 
Junior Band: Seahawk Marching Band 
Adult Band: Pacific Coast Highlanders 
Adult Clubs: Ventura Surf Club 
Youth Clubs: Delano Athletica Junior Gymnastics            
Color Guard: Oxnard High School R.O.T.C. 
Commercial: Totally Local VC 
Governmental Agencies: Troop Call Coast Guard with Lyn Fairly
Environmental “Green” Theme: EJ Harrison & Sons 
Equestrian: Kentucky Derby Gala- Access TLC Foundation 
Families: The McGrath Family 
Media: Gold Coast Broadcasting
Most Irish: Seaside Highland Games 
Non-Profit Organizations: Boys and Girls Club of Greater Ventura
Novelty: Cookie the Clown
