Oxnard--I’m always proud to say that I can grow, learn new things and develop my skills as a journalist.
SINCE I got into this business wanting to make it to one of those big-time newspapers, I think to be more like those guys, moving forward, I will take the lede of each story and bury it somewhere deep in the story and make each story vague.
It may be a bit early, but there is your April Fool’s joke for this year. I would never use some biased and slanted standard. Anyway, it’s been a busy week, but I did take some time on Saturday to attend the Meet Up Clean-Up event at Community Center Park East.
There are lots of good things to talk about here. Firstly, plenty of volunteers were on-hand ready to take care of the park and make it look good. Community involvement is always a good thing, and showing pride in Oxnard is terrific.
The highlight of the event was all the kids enlisted to help with the cleanup. That adds a new element that teaches the kids to become involved at an early age, imprinting the message that contributing to the betterment of…
