Oxnard-- Halloween is coming just in time. It’s tough to watch the events transpiring these days and not crave an event that personifies fun full of treats.
IF my furry kids were going to be in costume, there is no doubt that Daisy would be Barbie,
Queen of the Prom, and Buddy would be a food-stealing version of the cartoon characters Itchy and Scratchy from The Simpsons.
Daisy qualifies as the prom queen because no matter what story I am writing, when she wants me to stop, pay attention to her, give her a treat, and go to bed, she becomes nothing short of impossible. One example of being impossible is while she sits on the couch with me. It has a slipcover on it, and she spends a lot of time trying to take it off. I stop her, tell her no, and she looks at me keeps diligently trying to remove the slipcover.
The only consistent fur kid I have is Ziggy, who I have called Darth Vader numerous times. He’s old, crabby, and he wants what he wants. He generally sits in front of his dish complaining about how Buddy steals his food. If you don’t accommodate…
