Oxnard—In case you’re wondering, the OMG reference is not about the New York Mets recent playoff run; it’s about good news as I continue working towards a transplanted Kidney and having a happy ending.

AS I previously mentioned, The Paramedic, Travis Ryder Frost, wants to be my living donor and has started the medical protocol to determine if he’s a match.

There was a bump along the way. I had to get in everyone’s faces when they did not respond to Travis. Then on Monday, a new person was put in charge of my transplant, who called The Paramedic and got his doctor’s information. It ended up with my new case manager asking me which hospital I would want the transplant. I have no preference, and I’d have it done in the back seat of a Chevy if it means a fully functioning Kidney. It’s not a happy ending yet, but like always, it’s a process.

It’s unfortunate that it takes changing a case manager to move things forward. For a while, it started feeling like they were more interested in keeping me chained to the Dialysis chair instead of matching people to healthy Kidneys.

Onward, I roll, traveling…
