Frosted Thoughts

Oxnard—It usually never happens, but this Thanksgiving meant no doctor visits, Dialysis, or grocery store trips, and even the printer was closed, so I had a whole day at home.

I wasn’t sure what to do with myself; my days are planned to the last second, and I’m always working.

I turned off my alarm first, which sort of worked; I slept all the way to 4:45 instead of 4:30 a.m., which was not a real win.

I tried to fall back asleep, a total waste of time, so I got up and made my usual breakfast, egg whites, a few white mushrooms, ending with something sweet. When I say sweet, that means sugar-free, sodium, potassium, and phosphorous-free, which means it’s the worst sweet treat ever.

I decided not to work at home, which was no easy task, and started my usual house chores, cleaning up after the J-Train, which left a trail of clutter, dirty dishes, and unopened junk mail throughout the house. That took up a couple of hours; the house was a mess, and although it wasn’t great, it was better, so I was okay with that.
