Frosted Thoughts

Oxnard—I was going to start this week talking about my pre-transplant workup, but things happen, and the content changes.

TO review, I bought a phone that fits in my pocket to prevent losing it, as it was constantly falling out of my pocket. After three trips to the department store, it became fully functional.

The big concern was my continuous glucose monitor, which I couldn’t get to work. When Xi, my store expert, fixed it, I was excited.

I was rolling along, checking my blood sugar, when I received a message that there was a glitch in the system, and the programmers needed to fix it. That means no readings.

To be safe, I ate a couple of ice creams and a bagel. That didn’t work out, of course, and Janis found me on the bathroom floor crying for help.

She brought me back, again, and I ended up missing another Dialysis, which I rescheduled for last Friday.

There’s a problem with home delivery: that means the printer has to deliver the Tri County Sentry to my home, which puts me a whole day behind. That’s a problem.
