Oxnard—There were so many possible headlines to this Frosted, like no more shortcuts or let’s all be sick.

IN the end, I decided to go with the direct approach, LIARS.

Let me explain. I was running late for dialysis, which always makes my caregivers mad.

I went as fast as I could to Ventura, traffic was not good, and I arrived late. I’ve admitted in the past that I have a routine personality, and I usually test my blood in the car, since my glucose meter hasn’t arrived yet, and take a shot as needed.

Since I was late, I skipped a step and decided to shoot in the dialysis center, but I left my needle in the car. I thought, no problem, they’ll let me have a needle.

PROBLEM!!!!!!

My caregiver refused to give me a needle, so I called the supervisor over, who said there were problems with me injecting insulin. I got tired and said “Are you refusing to let me manage my problem????”

I was told no, and sent my caregiver over with a needle. After a brief conversation, my caregiver put the needle away and didn’t give it to me.
