Oxnard—The Heroes series continues with people who have had a significant impact on my life, like my business partner, Lisa Grace Kellogg, who guided me to this computer.
LISA’S origins stem back to Woody (Ward R. Frost’s) house. I was visiting Woody one Saturday morning while my brother Brian was staying, and he was being the prototypical little brother, coming loaded with teases and taunts.
My friend Lisa Nolder had told me about a candidate forum at Lamar Community College, so when Brian became impossible, I told Woody that I had to cover a political event and needed to leave.
I met Lisa Nolder just in time for the event to start, and I began my interviews with former Senator Greg Brophy.
When Lisa Grace-Kellogg spoke, I was impressed by her intelligence and sharp answers to Lamar’s problems, as well as her straightforward, to-the-point responses to my questions; if she didn’t know an answer, she’d find it.
The following Friday, she sent me an email thanking me for the interview and letting me know she would save my contact information.
