Oxnard-- So, I spent way too much time at the doctor today, and after an extended wait, I am happy to say I no longer have pneumonia. Honestly, I have never felt as bad as that except when I was first diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I won’t bore you about that since I write about that on my anniversary date each year, but waking up and not being able to breathe is a different and awful experience.
As you already know, I make my living writing what really happens without any bias that goes on at City Hall in Oxnard, Port Hueneme, and from time to time, at the Board of Supervisors.
I write editorials about some different things, like the feeling of relief that I felt when I coughed up the most significant piece of congestion I have ever seen before from my lungs. That first breath was terrific, and it was a relief.
This afternoon, I took a few minutes to examine the last two editions of the Tri County Sentry, and I didn’t write enough local content. It’s not bad stuff, but I prefer local content written by me.
