T’S funny because I have spent so many years traveling from state-to-state looking for a place to call home. And while you can look on the net and read about people heading out of California, I am finally home.
My dance card has been full lately with lots of things about the paper’s finances that I hadn’t experienced before, but like I said last week, I am working hard and getting a ton of good advice. It can be stressful since I didn’t trade a cheese sandwich for ownership of the paper.
The first adventure was delivering the paper. The J-Train and I hit the road this weekend, and it didn’t take too long for us to realize that I needed to reorganize the delivery list. For example, I’m driving, and the J-Train is riding shotgun armed with her GPS getting directions, and then it starts. She had me drive one way on Oxnard Boulevard for about six miles to drop off a bundle of papers.…
