Frosted Thoughts

Oxnard--I was driving to an event the other day and spent a harrowing couple of miles driving on the worst roads I have ever seen in my life. To call the streets full of potholes is, without a doubt, the biggest understatement of the year.

IT makes me wonder what the pavement condition index is in this area, but don’t ask that question because you won’t get an honest answer here.

It makes me think about all the uproar about the roads in Oxnard, and those who like to post on social media how bad things are should try driving in a rural community where the funds are limited. My life changed a bit when I came to help this little enterprise, but wow; it’s more than I expected.

Look, I know there are roads in poor condition that still need to be fixed in Oxnard. Gonzales, by the High School, is number one on the hit parade, at least when I left to take my trip, and I hope the lawsuit the City has been entangled in is resolved so funds can be spent as intended so the City can keep moving forward.
