Frosted Thoughts

Oxnard--It’s inevitable. Every single December, either the J-Train or I get sick. The circumstances change, of course, how one of us end up getting sick, and the winner this year, not really a winner, is the J-Train.

O, while Janis was at work, she got sick from someone, and at first, it wasn’t too bad, you know, just a few sniffles. Then, on Monday, December 6, she called me while at work and said they gave her a COVID test, negative, and were sending her home because she sounded awful and didn’t want her to infect anyone.

At first, I thought she wasn’t that sick, and you shouldn’t be sent home just because of the sniffles. She went back to work, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and had Friday off. On Friday, we went to the store, and I noticed that the J-Train looked like the Eyeball, totally red.

She called the doctor, and he prescribed some kind of medicine to put in her eye. Yup, that’s right, she had pink eye. The next morning, her eyes were glued shut, and we had to put a hot compress across her eyes to get them open. So, she stayed home, and…
