Frosted Thoughts

Oxnard-- For once, my weekend wasn’t too bad. I had time to get the grocery shopping done and clean the kitchen, always one of my favorites. I got to sit and watch the Jets game on television; they won the game, and the bonus was they beat the Broncos. Know I lived in Denver for many years, but I grew up on Long Island and have been a Jets fan since Joe Namath beat the Colts in Super Bowl III.

I’m sure my sister and brother had family members over to their homes and bristled after they came up short. My mother was an epic Broncos fan and even had a 1980s-style “Bronco Brick” to throw at the TV. The brick was made of sponge, of course, but that didn’t stop my mother from screaming at the television each Sunday.

The J-Train keeps rolling along, and actually steam-cleaned the dining room rug this morning while I watched in shock. After fainting, I joined in, put dishes away in the kitchen, and did all the recycling. It doesn’t happen often, but doing housework together is a pretty fun activity. At least for me.
