Frosted Thoughts

Oxnard--Christmas Eve at my house is always the same; I get up early, work a little bit, look at the messy house, and spend the day cleaning before Christmas morning.

SO, I did one story, then started doing dishes, cleaned up empty cups of dog ice cream treats all over the floor, took out the recycling, worked a little more, and then did a whole lot more cleaning while movies played in the background.

I can attribute my holiday cleanliness fetish to my Mother, Dolores T. Frost, who always ensured the house was immaculate for the holidays.

Another unintended consequence of the holidays is me getting tired late in the day, falling asleep, and then having the J-Train pick me up off the floor due to a low blood-sugar episode.

To me, it’s always interesting where the J-Train finds me. She found me on the Pilates machine tonight, which kind of makes sense since I ate way too much food today.

It’s also another holiday tradition where the J-Train stuffs too much food into me to raise my blood sugar, which causes a high blood sugar episode and requires more insulin. It’s a vicious, inescapable trap I fall victim…
