Oxnard--I’ve seen the damage caused by the recent surf activity in Channel Islands and Port Hueneme and can’t help but worry about residents and the challenges they face and hope they’ll get through the damage.
SO, to exercise the demons of 2023, let’s clean out my attic and eliminate those bad images that made this year less than successful.
Challenge one: paying for my 2022 medical challenges has been significant and is ongoing. Am I making progress? Yes, of course, owning the Tri County Sentry has made me much more responsible; people who work for me depend on my ability to keep things going, and I’m not perfect, but I am still in the game.
Challenge two is age, not just me; although my oldest, the Paramedic, spends a lot of time telling me how old I am, still most of the things I own, including the computer I’m typing on, need to be replaced. My backup computer is in lousy shape, and I’ve rigged it to serve a limited purpose, which places more strain on my primary computer.
That’s a problem since inflation is ruining many lives and hurting people immensely. I think about all the food insecurity…
