Oxnard--I’m back where I belong, although it might be a couple of weeks before everything in my life is settled and I’m back to business as usual.
OF course, that’s going to take some time. Our arrival day at our new home, Wednesday, March 13, happened the same day I produced the March 15 paper. That meant the J-Train had the guys telling them where to place the boxes since I’m not generally available for little projects.
She had the movers place the boxes in the laundry room because she didn’t want clutter throughout the house, which means we’re relocating boxes everywhere. It wasn’t a great plan, but I had a job to get done, and she did the best she could.
My country adventure ended about two weeks ago, and the funny thing about my time there was gaining an understanding of how not to do things.
I’m not perfect by any stretch, but ultimately, if something doesn’t work, you have to be human enough to say let’s try something different.
