Oxnard--It’s become evident to me recently that I’m the most boring and routine guy in Ventura County, and I’m a big enough boy to admit this. have a simple routine that starts every morning at 4:30 a.m.: I test my blood sugar to see where I am and determine how much insulin I need, and then I portion out my blood pressure medication and complete the medication portion of my day.
From there, I take my insulin and prepare my breakfast, sit down in front of my computer, plan my day, and look at the news.
Some mornings, I start writing, while other days, I answer emails and follow up on things that need attention.
So, I decided to shake things up a little bit the other day and started by turning off my alarm at 4:30 a.m. and going back to sleep. The J-Train got home from working her overnight shift and thought something was wrong because I’m never still in bed, but I told her I was trying to break from my routine.
