Frosted Thoughts

Oxnard-- Happy 2022! There are so many things running through my mind today that I’ll touch on a bunch of things.

Anyway, if it’s January, it must be pothole season. There are some nice ones out there, that’s for sure, but I have no doubt the City of Oxnard will take care of these problems because they have the financial resources to handle the roads. Of course, that means it’s the rainy season which makes delivering the paper a challenge. Note to self, speak to the J-Train about leaving clothes in the washer and dryer.

That brings me to my first New Year’s resolution. As I have mentioned before, I am spending a lot of time doing new things with the business end of the paper, which led the J-Train to attempt cooking her dinner for herself the other day. She took a giant blob of ground turkey out of the refrigerator and threw it into my sauté pan, and turned the heat on the oven up way too high.

Anyway, there was enough ground turkey to make two patties at least, which she didn’t do, and to cook it properly, you should cover the pan, turn the heat…
