Frosted Thoughts

Oxnard--It goes without saying that we’re having a tough month, which is ironic since December is usually my most challenging month.

TO recap, I’ve had medical issues that caused me to be hospitalized two times, followed by Buddy “The Happy Wanderer,” taking a stroll that ended up with a trip to the shelter.

That was followed by the J-Train’s trip to the doctor, which didn’t go well and meant a dramatic lifestyle change.

Adding to our family’s challenges, Daisy’s back legs have stopped functioning, which is not good. That means a trip to the veterinarian, and we’re hoping for a good outcome. However, Daisy is 16.5 years old and in pain, which is unacceptable.

A long time ago, when we lived in Lake Forest, the J-Train rescued Daisy from the Orange shelter on December 22. Daisy was in a cage with an extensive collection of large dogs and was frightened.

It took most of the day, but Daisy got home at about 6 p.m. and met our old Basset Hound, Duncan. They didn’t interact much, and Duncan was soon gone to his final resting space.
