IT’S HOME!

Oxnard-- It was a typical day last Tuesday. I got up at 5:30 a.m., ate breakfast, watched the news, and started to write my second news article of the week.

THE usual things happened, phone calls about legal ads and people sending me press releases. It was pretty typical until the phone rang, and my wayward car caught up in supply chain issues was ready to be picked up.

The issue was a broken strut that wasn’t available due to supply chain issues. They finally found one and shipped it from another country which took almost three months.

Needless to say, I was thrilled and apathetic about the news simultaneously. I adjusted to driving a 20-year-old car that smells like oil, and I guess I’m grateful that it didn’t break down. I didn’t want to buy a second car, but my hand was forced, thanks to the current mess with the supply chain.

When I got the car home, the first thing I noticed was that it got towed away before I started losing weight, which meant there were remnants of snack chips all over the carpet, along with a ton of newspapers. I cleaned it up and returned…
