LOW BLOOD SUGAR THOUGHTS

Oxnard-- You know, it never fails when you have diabetes. I went to bed and fell asleep quickly, then I just woke up and couldn’t get back to sleep.

IN my world, that means one thing; my blood sugar is low, and if I don’t deal with it, my levels will get too low, and I will start having convulsions and wake up the J-Train.

Okay, so I know the drill and came down to test my blood and have some sugar. Since I need it to work into my bloodstream so I can retest, I figured why not write a little bit and stay productive.

The first thing that comes to mind is the fact that Easter is coming, and I hope that means lots of happiness and family gatherings for everyone.

If you’re older, like the J-Train and me, I hope you are looking forward to kids and grandkids coming to the house for a big Easter dinner.

If you’re an empty-nester and your kids are scattered across the country, or the globe, as is the case with Colin, my youngest, there are still the telephone and social media networks to reach out and enjoy the holidays.
