Ventura—During his Tuesday, October 13, report to the City Council, City Manager Bill Ayub said from 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, the Ventura County held a Taco with a Cop event at Mother’s Tacos at 1177 E. Thompson Boulevard.
“THE restaurant will donate 20 percent of the proceeds to the Ventura Police Department K9 Unit,” he said. “We hope to see you there; it’s a great opportunity to connect with your local Police Department Staff and share your thoughts with them.”
He encouraged everyone to join them from 5-7 p.m. on October 21, as the City will be hosting the first Pierpont Beach Management Plan meeting.
“It will be at the Pierpont Elementary School Cafeteria (1254 Martha’s Vineyard Court) about coastal conditions and share input about future beach and sand management,” he said. “To learn more, visit cityofventura.ca.gov/LCP.”
He said applications are open for the Community Grants Program, as there is $340,000 available across four grant categories.
“It supports Ventura’s cultural vitality and community well-being,” he said. “Applications are due by October 20. Visit the City’s website for details.”
The next City Council meetings are Tuesday, October 27, and Tuesday, November 10.
