805 Social Club Rocks Out

Channel Islands—The Concerts by the Sea series is not slowing down, as the 805 Social Club knocked out hit after hit on Saturday, August 15.

THE band played classics, like Hit Me with Your Best Shot by Pat Benatar, which brought the crowd to its feet, and the crowd joined in the fun.

David said the show is amazing.

“I love the show, and the 805 Dance Club is excellent,” he said. “I’ve been coming for 15 years. They were originally at Peninsula Park, and they switched it here. It’s a better venue, with the shade and sunshine. It also has better parking.”

David’s favorite song of the day was Jealousy, and he expected more hits.

Concert regular Leslie Rehak loves the band and says they’re fun.

“This is one of the best bands,” she said. “I’ve been out there dancing today.”

Captain Ray Gee loved the show and said the female singer is wowing the crowd.

“I have my Ambulance here, and change before the show into whatever strikes me to wear,” he said. “My mask has monkey ears.”

He’s a commercial diver and said the entire industry is struggling.
