Ventura—Antique Adventures goes the extra mile to be successful and reaches to the community as its business model for support which supports them right back.
THE business welcomes hot rodders to the parking lot each Sunday, for coffee, donuts, cool cars, and plenty of friendship.
Owner Chuck Ackerman said while devising a business plan to make the location a community hub, he, and his wife Nerriel wanted to interest people in the neighborhood as well as himself.
“One of my dealers reached out to Tom (Berger) from the Pharos Car Club who has a large contingent he can bring,” Chuck said. “In doing so, we saw the cars grow sech Sunday from a few cars to 30 cars, and we’ve had as many as 40 cars.”
During Covid, Chuck said there wasn’t any place to take the cars and he said come down, we’re open.
“It’s not a car show, it’s just a bunch of customers with old cars,” he said.

Chuck said being community involved makes Antique Adventures more visible and too many places you visit, if you don’t know the business, you know the building.
