Avila arrested on Gun charge

Oxnard--On March 29th, at approximately 12:22 a.m., Oxnard Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a silver Mercedes S-Class for vehicle code violations in the 500 block of Collection Boulevard.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded, unregistered .22 caliber handgun. Fernando Avila was arrested for several firearms violations.

The Oxnard Police Department’s Patrol Division is committed to reducing violent crimes in the City of Oxnard through directed enforcement.
