Channel Islands— The Concerts by the Sea Series may be winding down, but the Brandon Ragan Project captured the spirit of the season and delivered a dynamite show for the vast crowd.
THE group engaged the crowd early, which responded and were dancing, taking videos, and doing what’s best during the summer, enjoying fantastic music in a picturesque setting.
“The Brandon Ragan Project formed to blend a classy edge to the classic funk & blues sounds that are ever-present in the ongoing entertainment and nightlife music. All of our musicians are local artists who have been performing in the Ventura and Los Angeles areas for over a decade.”
The Band: Moyes Lucas, Drummer, Trevor Lindsey, Bass Guitarist, Brandon Ragan, Sax & Vocals, David Diaz, vocals, Parris Grundy, guitar, (Stormin) Norman Weatherly and Greg Godfrey on keyboards delivered hit after hit throughout the show.
After a killer show, Brandan had a new top hat.
“Sometimes you see something and you know that’s it, and that’s what’s happening,” he said. “I’ve been playing at the Harbor since 2011. “I started out at The Waterside, and the Harbor is a natural draw, and everyone is friendly.”
