Oxnard—During its Tuesday, June 25 meeting, the Public Works and Transportation Committee approved its agreement with M.O. Dion & Sons for the purchase and delivery of bulk fuel to various City locations.
AGREEMENT 32500018 is for a not to exceed total of $4.135 million for an initial one-year term from July 1, 2024, until June 30, 2025, with the option for an additional four consecutive one-year extensions that shall not exceed five years, with the final term ending June 30, 2029.
Fleet Services Division Manager Jose Arreola presented the agreement and noted the City has been utilizing a vendor to purchase and deliver bulk fuel for over 10 years.
“The City requires bulk fuel delivery to Fire Stations, the Wastewater Division, Water Division, Wastewater Division, the Advanced Water Purification Facility, and Environmental Resources Divisions,” he said. “These locations have onsite fuel tanks for fueling vehicles and equipment. The adequate delivery of bulk fuel is essential for City day-to-day operations, Public Safety Departments, and backup generators.”
