Ventura-- It was another great year at Cassie’s Cats and Kittens, as lost Cats found a great place full of care and affection, ending up with Cats finding furever homes.
A TYPICAL day at the Cat Lounge is always busy; Cats play and interact with visitors while guided by Cassie’s Cats and Kittens Founder and President Jennifer Thompson.
Thompson said 99 Cats found loving homes since the Adoption Center opened in June 2021. Ten Cats currently live at the Lounge.
She said the Adoption Center was remodeled and benefited everyone.
“We have these benches now, which the Cats love,” she said. “The benches are more sturdy, which some visitors have told me they appreciate. They are a little bit easier to get in and out of, and they are much easier to keep clean.”
She said 2022 also meant more volunteers coming to
Cassie’s Cats and Kittens ready to make a difference.
“We’ve had some that have been with us since the beginning, and we did have some orientations during the year and got some new volunteers,”
Thompson said. “A couple of adopters have also started volunteering with us. That’s been nice.”
