CI Farmers' Market offers tasty treats

Channel Islands-- The Farmers’ Market at the end of Harbor Blvd is a shop-till-you-drop extravaganza weekly. It offers delectable treats, great gifts, clothes, and more for those who love open-air shopping.

CUSTOMERS spent Sunday afternoon checking out the many fresh and hand-crafted items while vendors interacted with the crowd, offering great customer service and enjoying the sun.

Annie Artanin sold The Best Hummus Ever and said it’s her grandma’s recipe.

“It’s Mediterranean,” she said. “I was the only one who developed the flavors. I try my best. The most popular is spicy black bean.”

She gave the company to her son but still fills in when needed.

“It’s been almost three years,” she said. Hummus is baby food to me. I ate it growing up.”

Jesse Gueddana had a collection of Boule de Pain treats and featured fresh croissants, baguettes, and the “best bread in town.”

 

We don’t use preservatives, chemicals, or bad things for your health,” he said. “It’s like homemade, and we also have the ingredients and don’t add anything.”

He said they have a bakery in Canoga Park, along with a retail store.
