Oxnard-- In his report to the city council Tuesday, February 1, City Manager Alex Nguyen reminded everyone that California’s emergency declaration is extended until the end of March.
“CURRENTLY, the county is providing testing sites, and here in Oxnard, it is at the county’s human services agency building at 1400 Vanguard Road,” he said. “Their testing hours are from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. You can drive up, but you need to schedule an appointment. The web address to schedule the appointment is vcfultgenetics.com. You can also go online to the city or state’s website, or vcrecovers.org.”
He said street sweeping and parking tickets enforcement are suspended until Monday, February 14.
“If the case number goes down for Oxnard and the county as we hope, we will announce restarting the ticketing or extending the suspensions,” he said. “City facilities remain closed, and we continue to provide services remotely for all of our departments.”
He said the next public hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 16.
