Oxnard—The City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 21, about Aaron Starr continues with Council Member Bert Perello saying, “it’s extremely troubling when accusations are made.
"SOMEBODY who would belittle someone who goes home to use the restroom, if they were home, to use the restroom, I don’t know what kind of human being you are,” he said. “When a Council Member makes a claim that it’s a theft, I don’t know if the word slander counts or even fits, but it sure disrespects a lot of good public employees. Mr. Starr, you were wrong on that.”
The woman in the video said that some in the story are lying, spreading misinformation, and disrespecting taxpayers who pay the bills.
“But the data says, it’s not Aaron Starr,” she said.
Public Speaker Alicia Percell said they investigated, and there’s no problem.
“It’s just normal lunch, and conveniently located bathroom stops, but that’s not true,” she said. “That’s not what the data shows. Either they didn’t investigate and told you that they did, or they knew they were telling you something they knew wasn’t true.”
