Ventura—Ambitious shoppers got the jump on the holiday season on Sunday, November 16, as the Holiday Crafters Market was loaded with amazing gifts for that special morning.
RAINY weather slowed the event down, but those who braved the elements were rewarded with homemade jewelry, great photos, teas that improve life, and more.
Jyll Ethier-Mullen is originally from Rhode Island and operates her business under her name.
“I graduated in 2003, and I have been doing this for 20 years,” she said. I have a degree in illustration and painting.”
“My mom said I could draw a picture before I could walk, and she still has it,” she said. “It might have been after I walked, about two, and it was a figure in a boat with a wave, and I still have it.”
Her parents supported Jyll and put her in art classes starting at age seven, until she began oil painting classes at age 13.

“I worked at an art store in high school, and I’ve been around it my whole life,” she said. “Some of my work is layered, while other creations are specific. Some I don’t know what I want to do, so I start with…
