David Weaver loves Senior life

Oxnard—The premiere Featured Senior Series kicks off with 84-year-old David Weaver, who discovered the Wilson Senior Center about 12 months ago.

DAVID lived in Oregon with his wife, who pas­sed away due to cancer, and after talking to his Daughter Mary, he decided to move to Oxnard and live with her.

He’s lived all over the Country, including Ingle­wood.

“Now I live here in Ox­nard,” he said. “Mary and I retired at the same time; we lived all over the Country in an RV, and we had a great life. She wouldn’t want me to stop living.”

David’s Daughter lives in Oxnard, and her Daughter and Granddaughter live in the San Fernando Valley.

“Now, I have a Grand­daughter, her Husband, a Great Granddaughter, and a Grandson,” he said. “We go over there a lot and visit, or they come here and visit.”

David is an active part of his family’s lives, and he noted that much of that is through his Daughter.

“I have two boys in Seattle, and they contact me, or I’ll contact them,” he said. “I also have a Son in Tennessee, and we stay in touch the same way. They all keep me in the…
