Oxnard—In his report to the City Council on Tuesday, July 1, the City Manager stated that everyone is aware that fireworks are illegal in the City.
"I think people are aware of the phone numbers, the Fireworks Officer is 805-307-6304, or email fireworks@oxnard.org,” he said. The voicemail hotline is 805-394-5884, and the emergency dispatch line is 805-385-7740.”
He said people are asking if they can report fireworks anonymously.
“You can make the report anonymously, but it’s strongest for enforcement if you can report the exact location where the fireworks are ignited.”
He said the information is available “all over the websites and social media.
Nguyen said the public is invited to a community meeting to choose the next steps for Durley Park, from 9-11 a.m., on Saturday, July 12.
The meeting is about making tangible choices for Durley Park,” he said. “We’ll have activities for kids to encourage families to attend while the parents are hopefully attending the meeting.”
There will be free drop-off days from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Del Norte Regional Recycling and Transfer Station, 111 Del Norte Boulevard.
