Oxnard--The City Council unanimously approved the Fore Property Development Amendment (DA) at 2700 and 2750 North Ventura Road during its Tuesday, May 7 meeting.
ASSOCIATE Planner Daniel Houck presented the third development agreement amendment for the property, which removes section five, a maintenance agreement with the City of Oxnard for a service road the City was acquiring to service the proposed residential apartment project on the parcel.
“This removes a service road that the City was acquiring from Caltrans, and this section of the Development Agreement is no longer needed,” he said. “The road was going to be used as an access road to serve the proposed residential apartment project on the parcel. However, in the process, the State entity of Caltrans retreated from the deal, and the property underwent a redesign of the proposed apartment building.”
He said it was approved through a minor modification.
“The project is part of the RiverPark Specific Plan, and currently, the project that is associated with the DA is under construction,” Houck said. “The zoning designation comes from the RiverPark Specific Plan, which is very high.”
